I thought I’d share a little behind the scenes photos from a recent wedding at Oxwich Bay in Gower, Swansea.  This photo was taken by a guest, I sent it on the brides timeline, and had to get the shot for my records 😊

We wanted to move away from the usual model shoots, and photograph on location with dancers who weren’t experienced models.  So this was a great learning curve for the photographers who are it used to directing their subjects. 

We photographed Allegra down Pembrey Country Park in Llanelli.  The weather was absolutely fantastic for the shoot, so it made it more enjoyable for everyone involved. 

We also had a makeup artist last minute too, Abigail Llewelyn, look up up if you’re after wedding makeup for your big day!

On my way for a lifestyle photoshoot with my 18 month old baby boy, this furry fellow decided to have a nose at what we were doing! So it was rude not to get a photo of this friendly squirrel 😀

Llanelli wedding photography at the Diplomat Hotel, a lovely wedding venue situated in Llanelli Town.  Not to far away from the centre, so we had a quick spin to the Town Hall for some wedding photography there too!

Wedding photography at the Diplomat Hotel

Today it was a photo walk with my local Llanelli Photographic Society club members!  After an extremely steep climb up to the top of the mountain, we were presented with fantastic views of Margam Country Park and the Steelworks in Port Talbot.  Also on our footstep was  Capel Mair ar y Bryn, and in English, it’s “the chapel of St Mary on the hill”.  ALong with the sets of photos are some random shots I took whilst on my walk with my other photography friends from Llanelli.

Shooting with one speedlight

As I primarily shoot weddings, I decided I wanted a simple one-light setup, and no light modifier, why?  Because there’s simply too much gear to take with me for weddings when shooting on location!  So thought I’d see what I can achieve with just one light.  Setup was just behind Aligha, to the left, and pointed towards her, highlights are blown out, but I like the affect that it gives, so decided to keep the blown highlights!
